• Death of Chester Coyan, age 90, in Bourbon Co., KS. - May 26, 1999. Chester lived on a portion of the land purchased by his great-grandparents William & Elizabeth Coyan in 1879. Our condolences to the family. Here is his obit and a picture of him taken in 1998 when my uncle Carl Coyan visited him.
• Death of Marie Gladys Coyan, age 85, in Wichita, KS on April 10,1999. Gladys was the wife of Ora Coyan, who preceded her in death. Here is her obit.
• Death of Woodrow W. Coyan, age 83, of Bellbrook, OH. on May 8, 1999. "Woody" was a son of Edward Coyan of Dayton, OH. Edward was a brother to my great-grandfather, William Coyan of Jackson, OH. I'll post Woody's obit as soon as I get a copy.
• Death of Floyd "Boone" Coyan, age 68, on August 14, 1999, in Jackson, Ohio. "Boone" was a close friend and relative. Here is his obit and another picture of Boone and his wife Joy.
• Death of Karen Coyan, age 40, on February 2, 2000, in Ft. Scott, Kansas. Karen was the wife of Tim Coyan, who is a descendant of William James Coyan Jr. I will post her obit soon.
• Death of John "Pat" Coyan, age 81, on February 6, 2000, in San Angelo, Texas. Pat was a descendant of Robert Coyan, who was a brother to my gg-grandfather, Jackson, Coyan. Here is Pat Coyan's obit.
• Death of James H. Coyan III, age 17, on May 1, 2000, in Columbus, Ohio in a tragic shooting. James was a descendant of Jackson Coyan. James' great-grandfather, James Russell, and my grandfather, William Raymond, were brothers. Here is James H. Coyan III's obit.
