There are many "branches" of my family tree about whom information after ca. 1900 has not been found. My extensive U.S. census research via the National Archives Microfilm Rental Program has provided, in some cases, a few clues but success in finding present day living descendants (if there are any) has proved unsuccessful to date. I have and continue to thoroughly search the Internet in search of info on these "dead ends", so I wouldn't recommend that you waste your time repeating what has already been researched - that's the reason for this webpage...
My hope is that by creating this webpage, enough "clues" will be posted here that someone viewing this page will be able to put a "match" to their own family, and thus mine as well. Here are my "dead ends" to date. If you are a family member and want me to post something for you here regarding a "lost" family member as well, please feel free to send me an email and I post your query here:
Hattie J. (Coyan) Hicks (1876-aft
1960) - Hattie was the daughter of Hugh
John and Sarah Jane (Garrett) Coyan. Hattie was married ca. 1902 to Walter
Hicks, most likely in Kansas. I have discovered them to be living in Owyhee
county, Idaho in the 1910 census. At that time, there were 2 children in
the home: A son Manalaus, age 7, and a daughter Wanetia, age 5. Family obituaries
tell me that Hattie and Walter Hicks were still living and in Nampa, Idaho,
in 1928 and as late as 1960. I believe that there are living descendants
of this family - can you help?
More soon...
